8 years of koha freediving

We've been saying yes for eight years

For eight years we've run koha freediving across Te Tai Tokerau, chasing whatever funding we can to keep sessions open to the community. Some funding is for specific people, like this season's Koha Freedive Sessions for tāne 35–55. We stretch it as far as it'll go, and this is how we make room for everyone else.

Along the way we've grown kaiako from our own communities: assistant instructors, full instructors with real career paths, and people who run casual community sessions. That's how it keeps going.

We need everybody — in the water and on the side

Helping doesn't mean you have to be a diver. There's a place here for everyone.

EVERYONE

Lend a hand

Turn sausages, greet whānau, help keep our rangatahi safe poolside, share the word, or bring your people. Whatever you can give, we'll find a place for it.

BRING YOUR PEOPLE

Spread the word, bring your whānau and mates, or connect us with your school, club or community. The more hands and hearts, the further this goes.
